About Tathawade

Tathawade sits on the western edge of Pimpri-Chinchwad, along the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway (NH 48), with Wakad on one side, Punawale on the other and Hinjewadi Phase 1 a short drive away. Like its neighbours, it grew quickly once the IT park took off, and most of its housing is in gated societies built over the last decade or so.

The area is also an education hub, with several engineering, management and professional colleges, which keeps rental demand steady. For buyers, it usually means newer buildings with full amenities at a lower budget than Wakad or Baner, in exchange for civic infrastructure that is still catching up.

Roads

On the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway (NH 48), with the Aundh–Ravet BRTS road running through towards Wakad, Pimple Saudagar and Ravet. Hinjewadi Phase 1 is reached through Wakad.

It depends on the society. PCMC said some newer societies were built on developer NOCs that made the builder responsible for water until municipal lines arrived.
